The final of the Dr McKenna Cup has been called off due to an unplayable pitch.

Ulster GAA said the game between Tyrone and Cavan could not go ahead following a day of heavy wind and rain across Northern Ireland on Saturday.

A pitch inspection took place at Brewster Park in Enniskillen Co Fermanagh earlier.

The game is now expected to take place on either 12 or 15 February, with the date and venue expected to be confirmed at the start of next week.

A statement from Ulster GAA said: "The Power NI Dr McKenna Cup Final, scheduled for tonight at Brewster Park Enniskillen has been called off due to an unplayable pitch.

"The details for the rearranged fixture will be confirmed on Monday, with the date likely to be either Wednesday 12th or Saturday 15th February."
